Choke collars are bad? We had a dog trainer to help us with our dog nine months old.?

He wants to use a choke collar on it and a tug whenever grunts, jumps and even puts paws on us when we are sitting. We have to be on it for two weeks. He said one would think in a shock collar when he barks when left alone outside. She has become more quiet, or perhaps simply afraid? Any experience?

I agree with Karen, but both collars may work well when used appropriately. The neck has to be up to the neck, around ears, to work effectively. When given a slight tug or correction, the dog will learn that behaviors please you and what are bad. The dog will be happy when you are happy with the dog, and wearing a necklace quickly that the dog knows which behaviors are acceptable without harming animals.
