How can I get my dog to stop barking at every passerby?
It is a golden retriever / lab mix, a little over 1 year old. I love that he is a great watchdog, but only so far. I hate that barks incessantly in every cat that walks down the street, and every person and vehicle that comes by. I hate that can not bark all night to a tree in the backyard thats full of birds. How can I avoid this? I know that dogs bark more than usual when they are hungry, something is wrong, or when they feel lonely / anxious, but I can not figure out what the problem with my dog is … and I have to draw the line somewhere. I do not want to buy him one of those strokes necklaces, and I thought hey maybe if I start walking every day gonna be great … but I wonder what the pet-geniuses here Y! To think. Thanks in advance!
Sounds boring drive. I'd be barking in my head that moved, if I was stuck behind the same four walls of 24 / 7. Your dog needs at least an hour of exercise a day and a good daily walk is included. Forgot shock collars. They are an aid lazy trainees created for anything other than a quick fix. Spend more time physically and mentally stimulate your dog and you'll be fine with bark. You might think differently if you said it was a terrier or a toy dog, but farmers and laboratory mixtures of breeds are naturally non-voice. Only when my bark Laboratories in the way that you describe is that if you are bored, which is not often!
