Remote Collar Training for aggressive puppy?

I have a 10 months old beagle / mix puppy spaniel. She has been aggressive since it adopted for the first time since his shelter at 8 weeks of age. The only thing that bites me when I put her in her cage before work or to cling to her neck to avoid jumping to guests. I put my dog through obedience training for 8 weeks (used clicker training, strengthening all positivity). She learned new tricks, but their behavior continues to worsen. He has recently begun to try to bite the men who come to our house (Fed Ex man, man insurance, etc.). She growls at them aggressively, biting trouser leg, leaves, and start again.Last night I had a professional dog trainer (been in business for over 15 years) make an assessment. He thinks my dog is a potential problem. Suggested using a remote training collar and doing an extensive 7-week one-on-one training with her. This will cost $ 800 for the whole program. Does anyone have any experience with the use of shock collars on dogs aggressive?

I just can not believe some of the responses this question here. Some of them are just unbelievable. I am shocked anyone would suggest a shock collar. Obviously, your consultant trainer of dogs is the school of Milan, Cesar dog training (who likes to shock collars). The fact that the dog trainer who has been consulted in the business for 15 years does not make right. I suggest you find someone who has trained more recently and is current with humane treatment ideas on how to deal with the problem behavior. Shock collars is a NO NO for a puppy or, in my opinion, any dog. Get you a responsible dog trainer who uses positive reinforcement methods or better yet, Back to the home you received your puppy and ask their advice or recommendation for a dog trainer responsible. Your puppy may have been imposed of abuse before you got it – this may be the reason for their behavior. She needs your understanding, love and patience and look for other ways to change their behavior – Not using violence. Your dog is not a criminal and should not be treated as such.
