Pond foam … What is it?

A week ago I noticed what looked like saliva on the surface of my pond.Now has multiplied and awful.Can me really think what this is? We have a 40feet by 16 feet of the lagoon with a biological filter and 3 waterfalls.

This can be caused by high levels of nitrogen or reduced oxygen in the water, sometimes, overfeeding of fish with high protein foods, the flight of the herb / flower bed fertilizer, excessive accumulation of waste in the pond bottom. Algae blooms can appear on the surface of water, like the variety of plant surfaces floating ponds, some of which can be very invasive and are carried by birds from pond to pond. Check the biological filter to identify if the plant or algae. Ponds without shade may suffer from this problem, and aeration of water is essential in hot climates.
